If you go to a Washington Nationals game at Nats Park, what can you do instead of hopping on the crowded metro or sitting in traffic? Well, if it’s a day or sunday game, or if you can get there before 10 p.m., head over to Ice Cream Jubilee near Nats Park. It is a brand new ice cream place that opened in early July. Just a short walk from the stadium, you can enjoy a scoop or two of some interesting and imaginative flavors of ice cream.

On my visit, I had the Banana Bourbon Caramel ice cream which was delicious. Fresh banana ice cream spiked with the smoky, sweetness of bourbon. YUM!

You can sit at the tables or the comfy adirondack chairs outside, relax and savor your yummy treat before heading home. Or, you can walk over to the Trapeze School New York and watch the brave souls swing on the trapeze that dare to try this fearless act. I rather have my two feet on the ground enjoying my frozen treat!
